A Full Week Built Around Actually Learning to Kiteboard or Wing Foil.

The Immersion Experience. For first-time and early-stage riders who want a structured path to real progression.

You’ll spend a full week in Cape Hatteras with structured coaching, equipment, and on-water support built around the conditions and your progression.

The goal is continuity: knowing where to be, when to be there, and what you’re working on—without having to manage all the logistics yourself.

Who This Is For

This experience is designed for:

  • First-time kiteboarders or wing foilers starting from the beginning
  • Early-stage riders who have taken lessons but haven’t built a consistent foundation
  • Riders who want structured coaching and a clear progression path throughout the week
  • People who want to focus on learning without having to organize lessons, equipment, locations, and daily logistics themselves

This may not be the right fit if:

  • You’re already riding independently and primarily want a self-directed riding week
  • You’re looking for a one-day introduction rather than a progression-focused experience
  • You’re expecting a guaranteed riding outcome

Progress looks different for everyone. Conditions, previous experience, and individual progression all play a role. We structure the week to give you the best environment possible to learn and build confidence.

Already riding independently?
→ The Independent Rider Path is the right fit.

Learn the Right Way

Learning a wind sport is easier when the environment supports the process.

Cape Hatteras gives us access to beginner-friendly locations, while your coaching is structured around the conditions and where you are in your progression.

You’re not chasing a predetermined schedule. You’re building skills step by step—with the equipment, coaching, and on-water support already in place.

Whether you’re learning to kiteboard or wing foil, the goal is the same: build a strong foundation and the confidence to keep progressing.

Meet Your Coaching Team

Your Coaching Team, On the Water

Instruction is delivered by the team at Outerbanks Kiteboarding and built into the rhythm of your week. Coaching is scheduled around usable conditions and your progression—not simply a fixed clock or predetermined days.

Sessions are intentionally small, all gear is provided, and both boat and jet ski support are available on the water.

Each session adjusts to:
Where you are in your progression
The conditions that day
Your pace and how you learn

This isn’t one-size-fits-all. The coaching builds from one session to the next, giving you continuity throughout your progression.

Boat + Jet Ski Support

On-water support is part of the learning environment—not an afterthought. Having both boat and jet ski support gives the coaching team flexibility to work in the right location for the conditions and your progression.

How It Works

From First Session to Real Progression

Set Up Your Week

Choose your week and room. Your stay, coaching, equipment, and on-water support are all brought together in one experience.

Learn in the Right Conditions

Your coaching is scheduled around usable wind windows, the right learning locations, and where you are in your progression.

Build Real Riding Skills

Each session builds on the last—helping you develop your skills, confidence, and foundation throughout the week.

View Upcoming Weeks

Immersion is intentionally limited to six students each week, keeping coaching focused and the learning environment supportive.

Why This Method Works

Beginner-Friendly Conditions

Shallow, forgiving learning areas remove some of the variables that can slow early progression—so you can focus on building skills and confidence.

Close, On-Water Coaching

Small, hands-on sessions mean more direct feedback and coaching that adapts as you progress.

Everything Is Set Up

Your stay, gear, coaching, support, and daily plan are already handled—so you can put your energy into learning.

When the environment, coaching, and logistics work together, you spend less time figuring things out—and more time focused on your progression.

Your Immersion Experience

7 nights. Structured coaching. Gear and on-water support included.

Not sure if this is the right fit?

Most people have a few questions before they commit — gear, experience level, what the week actually looks like.

The easiest way to figure it out is to talk it through.

Enjoyed our trip to OBX. Great house right on the water. We could launch right from the beach and watch everyone from the balcony. Staying with Craig and Adventure Travel Co made planning the trip really easy.

Overall a good experience with Adventure Travel Company. The house was a great value for not being on the water which is a good alternative for budget restricted adventure seekers. Host was very accommodating for planning kite trips and willing to shuttle where/when possible.

I arrived with no expectation of what an adventure company run experience would be like. I knew my family/work/life balance was out of wack and needed rebalancing. There was a level of uncertainty in booking as I normally plan solo vacations. I arrived late after 10 and while looking for a codes of entry was greeted by one of the nicest guys you can meet, he showed me to my room and offered to help me with my things. He was on vacation himself but squinched my anxiety levels to neutral with his kindness. Next day I met the rest of the vacationers all from different paths and backgrounds with a share of love for wind adventures. I did not have the milage on the sport that the rest of the gang had but were very sincere and encouraging to me and everyone as the sport and experience varied. I enjoyed the house environment with stimulating conversations, tips on the water and sense of family. My stay was beyond any of my expectations. I came in to rebalance and get reacquainted with kiteboarding and left with more. Craig the owner adventure travel company is one of the nicest guys you can meet. I have been to OBX many of times but never stayed on the water that you can simply walk out and kite for miles. House so scenic it was magical watching sun sets. I wish him much success and as for me I will definitely be a returning!!
